Looking to Hire Veterans and First Responders

OSG requires all of our staff to possess good public relations skills with good speaking and writing skills.  Everyone is required to have a valid Texas Driver’s License, Clear Criminal Record, and to be I-9 Certified and have a Texas issued security License.  Military and First responder and Security experience is a plus along with other customer service-related areas. Must have a positive attitude and be energetic.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid and current state security license for the type of work you will be contracted for.
  • Must have the ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
  • Must meet I-9 and or E-verify or other required employment eligibility verification as required by the client.
  • Must maintain a neat hairstyle without any extreme colors, cut short enough or styled sufficiently to prevent it from extending below the top of the shirt or jacket collar if required by the client.
  • Must refrain from wearing dangling style earrings or necklaces, or jewelry in the nose, eyebrows, lips, or other visible extremitie while working.
  • Must be clean-shaven except for neatly trimmed mustache and beard, unless mustaches and beards are prohibited by the client.
  • Must have a working cell phone with email access.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in the last 12 months).
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
  • Must have the ability to successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must have safe and reliable transportation with proof of insurance as required by state law.
  • Must have your own firearm and duty-related equipment. Must have your own Tan/khaki 5.11 style pants with appropriate black footwear. * Uniform shirts, jackets, etc are available depending on the contract needs.

The way our industry is designed, wages are determined by the contract requirements, the job duties performed, and the facility requirements.

OSG offers a wide range of training programs to help ensure our officers are knowledgeable leaders in the security industry. Training programs consist of mentoring, on-the-job training, one on one training, and e-learning. If you strive to be a qualified and well-rounded security professional, we have the basic and specialized training you need to help improve your security expertise.

Yes. Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, we offer non-traditional shifts, flexibility, and competitive hourly wages.

Security is a 24/7 industry with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts giving our staff the flexibility to balance work/life needs. You will work with local scheduling staff and management to identify open available shifts, minimum site requirements, based on your availability.
